LAHORE: Punjab won the 1st National Women Boxing Championship at WAPDA Sports Complex here Tuesday. Punjab clinched all three gold medals in three different weight categories.
Muhammad Aamir Jan, Director General Sports Board Punjab, was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony and awarded the medals to winner pugilists. Muhammad Khalid Mahmood, President Pakistan Boxing Federation and Secretary General of the Pakistan Olympic Association, and Saqlain Zahoor Raja, Director General WAPDA Sports Board, along with other dignitaries, were also present on the occasion.
