Eight dead as minibus plunges into ravine in Quetta

QUETTA: About eight people died and 20 were injured after a passenger coach overturned near Mastung in Balochistan

The coach, enroute to Quetta from Karachi, plunged into a ravine, said the rescue sources. They added the accident took place when the driver lost control of the steering at Lak Pass near Mastung.

The injured were rushed to the hospital.

Lak Pass, where the driver lost control, is situated on a height, between Quetta and Mastung districts

Such accidents on unpaved and narrow roads in Balochistan are a common occurrence.

In a similar accident a woman along with her five children were killed when a vehicle crashed on the roof of a mud house in Quetta
