LAYYAH: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari during a public rally.

Addressing party supporters in Layyah, CM Shahbaz termed Zardari ‘the architect of corruption’, while criticised the PTI chief for ‘constantly lying’.

“Zardari says he has come to hold the Sharif brothers accountable, he who is the architect of corruption is saying he will hold others accountable?,” said Shahbaz.

In reference to Imran, Shahbaz said that ‘He, who is lying 24/7, is he worthy of your vote?,’ while also adding that the PTI chief had promised in 2013 to end energy crisis from both Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Pakistan but he has failed to produce a ‘single megawatt’ of electricity.

Shahbaz also promised the attendees that if Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are elected to power again in 2018, the party will transform the district via development projects.
