ISLAMABAD: Minister of Interior Ahsan Iqbal said on Monday that media should not promote an impression that children all around the country are unsafe.
Speaking to a session in Senate, Ahsan said that media is creating a notion that child abuse cases go unchecked and that children around Pakistan are unsafe, but such beliefs do not hold truth.
“The media should not create an impression that child abuse cases are common in the society. All of us have a responsibility to protect our children,” said Ahsan.
The interior minister further stated that each individual within the country needs to show a strong resolve to eliminate criminals and criminal activities.
