LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan has on Sunday responded to the speech made by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif whereby he had lashed out at the opposition’s protest sit-in in Lahore last week, reported Daily Times.

In a statement, Aleem Khan said that Shehbaz Sharif was right about his corruption stories being popular from Gilgit to Karachi. “He is an epitome of shamelessness”, said Aleem Khan.

“Shehbaz Sharif used to talk about dragging [former President] Asif Ali Zardari on the roads but he was later seen supervising the dishes being cooked for the same man. Now he is shamelessly making the same false claims again”, he said.

Aleem Khan said that Shehbaz Sharif was involved in corruption worth billions while his corruption in Multan Metro Bus had gained international infamy.

“He will have to respond to answer for the Model Town massacre”, Aleem said.

The former provincial minister said that Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique had left nothing in Pakistan Railways. He added that the days of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) were numbered.

Speaking to Bab-e-Pakistan inaugural ceremony in Lahore, CM said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT)’s joint rally with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) among others was nothing more than a mere ‘circus’ staged by political ‘thugs’ from across the country.

Taking a jibe at PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Shehbaz said that Khan is habitual of lying and leveling allegations against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders but has failed to prove anything.
