As announced earlier, the exciting multi artist concert to be held in Islamabad on February 3, going by the name of Mad Decent Block Party (MDBP), will feature artists such as the Grammy award winning DJ Diplo, flanked by Adil Omar, Talal Qureshi. Chrome Sparks, Shamoon Ismail, Zoh, Haider Mustehsan, Valentinon Khan, Mikki Murshed, Osama Com Laude and Lyari Underground.

Now, that’s what we call a stellar line-up!

The highlight of this event would be that a major chunk of the proceeds from the MDBP will go to Sahil.org which is basically a non-profit organisation, that is actively involved in working towards the rights of children in Pakistan, more so for the support of seven-year-old child who was raped and murdered recently in Kasur

Diplo is the founder of MDBP. Two years ago, he played a successful show alongside Elliphant and renowned Pakistani musicians Adil Omar and Talal Qureshi in Islamabad.

Pakistan rapper and singer Osama Com Laude along with Lyari Underground enjoy the repute of using their music to increase awareness about the consequences of drug abuse in young children and also stress upon any injustices and violations of human rights.

The highlight of this event would be that a major chunk of the proceeds from the MDBP will go to Sahil.org which is basically a non-profit organisation, that is actively involved in working towards the rights of children in Pakistan, more so for the support of seven-year-old child who was raped and murdered recently in Kasur.

This NGO has been working for child protection in Pakistan for the last 12 years. They have been raising the issue of child sexual abuse particularly.

Sahil.org operates in four provinces; with their head office in Islamabad and have they also been registered with the Economic Affairs Division

Sahil.org operates in four provinces; with their head office in Islamabad and they have also been registered with the Economic Affairs Division.

Choreographer, former supermodel and entrepreneur Frieha Altaf has now been appointed as a goodwill ambassador for this organisation. Frieha Altaf’s Catalyst – Catwalk Cares aims to work towards social issues in the country and has now joined hands with Sahil.org to promote its cause.

MDBP will be debuting in Islamabad for what they are calling the biggest night of electronic dance music in Pakistan’s history. Fingers crossed, let’s see how this one turns out to be.
