HARIPUR: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif on Saturday lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for uttering insulting remarks against the parliament.
Addressing to the rally, Nawaz said that those who use foul language against the parliament would soon face imprisonment. The former PM also sarcastically said that he ‘salutes’ the judges for deeming Khan ‘truthful and honest’ in disqualification case.
“Khan is disloyal to the parliament that pays him. He is disloyal to the parliament that he contests elections to be part of, but he would soon be going to jail,” said Nawaz.
Commending the PML-N government, Nawaz stated that the party, in its tenure, has ensured elimination of terrorism throughout the country, while also decisively putting an end to the country-wide energy crisis.
Referring to the Haripur crowd, PML-N spearhead said that he had planned to construct a network of roads and highways across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), especially Haripur, but despite tirelessly working for the country’s development, he was ousted on charges of “not receiving salary from my son’s company.”
