PTI’s spokesperson rubbishes news about Imran contacting Pervaiz Elahi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry refuted the claims, which said that Imran Khan had contacted Pervaiz Elahi.

Expressing his views in a statement issued on Saturday, the PTI spokesperson termed this claim “absurd and baseless.”

He stated that PTI Chief Imran Khan did not contact the leader of PML-Q Pervaiz Elahi in the connection to exchange views on by polls in PP-23 Chakwal.

He stated, “PTI condemns all news broadcasted on media. This kind of news not only harms the party’s reputation but leaves a negative impact on party workers.”

It is pertinent to mention that news regarding PTI chairman Imran Khan and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi’s telephonic contact came to fore on media early on Saturday.

According to news the two leaders reiterated the resolve to stop the rigging in by polls. They took stance that it makes no difference if PPP does not support them in by polls.

It was also stated in the news that PTI and PML-Q are going to people on the basis of their performance and principled stand.

It is vital to mention here that by polls in PP-23 Chakwal will take place on April, 18.
