LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif has on Wednesday condemned the gruesome murder of a 3-year-old girl, named Asma, in Mardan.
In his message on Twitter, Shehbaz Sharif said that the issue of child abuse was not limited to any region or ethnicity but was a nation problem involving ‘all divides of politics, caste, regions & ethnicity’.
Punjab CM said that we should all act together to bring those to the book who had been ‘targeting the future of our nation, our children’ and fight the political battles later.
“If our Zainabs and Asmas cannot stop us from playing sordid political games and unite us for safety and bright future of our children, NOTHING ELSE WILL”, Shehbaz Sharif said.
Talking to media in Kasur at District Police Officer (DPO) office, Shehbaz Sharif said that if politics was to be played on the murders and rapes of little girls then there would be no end to it.
Earlier today, CM arrived in Kasur and visited DPO office where he was briefed on the progress on Zainab murder case. He reiterated his resolve to ‘bust and eliminate’ the network of the child abusers.
