KARACHI: The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) President SM Sbtain was honoured with the life time achievement award coinciding with the World Table Tennis Day in a ceremony held at Islamia Club here the other day. Former players of the game residing in the city turned up in a large number to commemorate the occasion. A special cake was also cut on the occasion. To mark the occasion, five competitions for boys and girls under-18 and under-12 besides for veterans were also organised. Besides Sibtain, President of Islamia Club Asad IA Khan, who had a long association with the institution, also attended the ceremony. The former players who celebrated the World Table Tennis Day include Vino Advani, Shamdul Haq, Abdul Samad, Jawaid Hayat, Mohammad Tahir, Munsarim Saif, Sohail Hayat, Arif Khan, Arif Nakhuda, Rubina Arif, Seema Kaleem, Farzana Feroz and Noor Jehan.
