Sir: Once again the government of Pakistan has failed to assure the protection of the nation’s children. The Zainab rape and murder case has revealed everything about what the children of this country have to go through. Harassing a child is an easy thing here, even in a society as conservative as ours. How can someone even stoop so low as to inflict such cruelty on an innocent child?
The situation is so bad parents cannot allow their kids to walk to the mosque or school because of the fear they feel. Gradually, we are becoming a less and less civilised society. It is the duty of the government to protect the citizens children! They must take concrete steps to safeguard our children from those who would do them harm!
