LAHORE: Five troops of paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) were martyred and six other injured as militants ambushed their vehicles in Shapok area in Balochistan’s Kech district on Monday evening.
According to media reports, unidentified armed men opened fire on security convoy. As a result, one of the vehicles in the convoy turned turtle after the attack, killing five personnel.
The area was cordoned off and the dead and injured were taken to Turbat’s district hospital.
“Four soldiers of the FC succumbed to their injuries on the spot as they received multiple bullet wounds,” said an official, adding that condition of two other soldiers was also serious.
