She was talking to reporters during her surprise visit to her mother Kalsoom Nawaz’s constituency NA-120 on Monday. She inspected development work and progress in the various areas.
Talking to reporters about the recent political movement of the opposition parties, especially the protest announced by the All Parties Conference (APC) at The Mall, she said that the elements that couldn’t bring about any positive change with the help of votes were protesting and holding rallies on the roads. To a question about the rapprochement between Imran Khan and Asif Zardari, she said that both of them would fail.
“The people should now know about the conspirators who are working together. However, they will fail again as they have already failed in their aims in the past,” she said.
She added that the fear of Mian Nawaz Sharif had caused his rivals to come close to each other and all the efforts and protests were being made to block his way.
To a question about the Balochistan government, Maryam said that everyone knew who had toppled the PML-N government in the province. She refused to comment about a question about reports of Imran Khan’s third marriage.
Talking to local people, Maryam assured them that the problems faced by them due to the ongoing development work in the area would soon be resolved. She said that they would be provided gas connections and all other civic amenities in the constituency.
