Kaira rallies supporters ahead of 17 Jan protest march in Lahore

Gujranwala: President PPP Punjab Qamar Zaman Kaira said that Justice is not expected in the presence of Shahbaz Sharif, both Rana Sana Ullah and Shahbaz Sharif should resign, all the parties which were part of the APC will participate in the protest on 17th January. The Kasur incident is proof of bad governance of Punjab government, Baqar Najfi’s report has unveiled that various ministers and officers were involved in the sad model town incident. While talking to the media here in Gujranwala, Kaira said that his visit to Gujranwala aims to motivate the workers and leaders for participation in the 17th January protest at Lahore. He said Shahbaz Sharif has a style of ruling to shoot the protesters which caused two sad incidents one of model town and the second was at Kasur incident. He said Shahbaz Sharif has failed to arrest the accused involved in Zainab kidnap and murder case, despite the provision of CCTV footage by the residents, Punjab police have no ability to trace the accused. He said if CM and minister for law will not resign then the final decision will be made in the All Parties Committee meeting on 21st January. He criticized the way of politics of Nawaz Sharif and said that he is giving certificates to Mujeeb-ur-Rehman. While talking about the threats by India, he said our military power is so strong to defend the country, the whole nation is united against India.

Gang of human trafficker’s apprehended: FIA teams have arrested five human traffickers and unearthed an illegal currency exchange here on Sunday. Deputy Director Mufakhir Adeel said that the accused human traffickers Shahid Mehmood, Muhammad Ilyas, Khadam Hussain, Muhammad Khan and Naveed Akber were involved in sending people to European countries illegally and were wanted by the FIA for the last seven years.

FIA teams conducted raids at Pasrur, Kunjah, Sialkot, Gujrat and Gujranwala and arrested all the said accused while the FIA team recovered 3,000 Saudi Riyal and 100 Euro from the accused.

Minor falls into a manhole and dies: Minor boy died by falling into a manhole here at Professors Colony, Gujranwala. It was said that Abdul Rafeh, three years old was playing in the street when he suddenly fell down a broken manhole. He was rushed to DHQ hospital but he breathed his last on the way to hospital.

Union Council secretary caught red handed receiving a bribe: Anti-corruption team apprehended a union council secretary, red handed while receiving a bribe from a citizen. It was stated that a citizen named Shahid Hussain gave an application that union council secretary Muhammad Arif is demanding a bribe from him for issuing a death certificate. On the complaint, circle officer Nasir Chatha along with judicial magistrate Qamar Zia conducted a raid and arrested the accused while receiving Rs 5,000 bribe from the citizen.
