AHSAN KHAN — the acclaimed and award winning actor has been nominated in the category of Best Actor for his role in ‘Chuppan Chupai’. Ahsan Khan is the recipient of many awards, for his performances in not just films but drama serials and theatre plays as well, and now considering how well ‘Chuppan Chupai’ is doing, here’s hoping the talented star bags the award for this one too.

‘BALU MAHI’ — this romantic comedy may have come out February of last year but did exceptionally well at the box office. The film has been nominated in four categories, including Best Film, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Supporting Actress.

‘CHUPPAN CHUPAI’ — released last month, this comedy thriller film has been nominated in eight major categories, that include Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, twice for Best Supporting Actor, Best Male Singer and Best Female Singer. Now, that’s called dominating the nominations list.

FAHAD MUSTAFA — this talented host, anchor and actor has massive acting credentials and has now been nominated for an LSA in the category of Best Actor for the film ‘Na Maloom Afraad 2’. Let’s see if it’s his moment to shine.

‘NA MALOOM AFRAAD 2’ — this sequel to the 2014 comedy thriller has been nominated in six major categories that include Best Film, twice for Best Actor, Best Film Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Male Singer and Best Female Singer.

‘PUNJAB NAHI JAUNGI’ — this film was 2017’s biggest hit and a complete family entertainer. If it was entirely up to us, we will announce it as a winner in all categories. LSAs have nominated the film in seven major categories that include Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Female Singer. We are a little disappointed not to see Shiraz Uppal in the category of Best Male Singer for the love anthem of the year, “Ae dil,” but oh, well!

‘VERNA’ — Shoaib Mansoor’s crime thriller has bagged four nominations at the LSAs after a lukewarm response at the box office. The film has been nominated for Best Film, Best Actress, Best Film Director and last but the least, Best Male Singer.
