CHAKWAL: The duration of power load shedding has increased in rural as well as urban areas of the district Chakwal.
According to details, load shedding is observed 8 hours in urban areas while 10 to 12 hours in rural areas.
When contacted, Chakwal Circle WAPDA spokesman responded that, owing to shortfall of electricity, the duration of load shedding has been increased.
“Forced load shedding is to be made from the Rawat Grid Station and IESCO Circle do not have any information in this regard,” he added and maintained that duration of load shedding would be reduced in coming days as the capacity of water be increased in water reservoirs after melting the snow from mountains.
“More electricity would be added in the national grid and duration of load shedding would be reduced in near future”, the spokesman concluded.
