The event has been taking place in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad once a year.
This will be Karachi Eat’s fifth year and will be held from today until Sunday. The venure is Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park.
The force behind the Karachi Eat, Lahore Eat and Islamabad Eat is CKO Event Architecture. The event has now become one of the largest food festivals of Pakistan, with thousands of attendees, participants, food enthusiasts and entrepreneurs taking part.
Like I mentioned before, a plethora of stalls will be set up with a diverse range of cuisines including desi, British, French, Italian, Indian, Swiss, Chinese, Thair, Middle Eastern, Sri Lankan, Mexican, and Parsi
The creative team stresses “the purpose behind it is of course to create an experience which is as inclusive as possible whilst maintaining the original concept”.
Like I mentioned before, a plethora of stalls will be present on occasion with a diverse number of cuisines, ranging from desi, British, French, Italian, Indian, Swiss, Chinese, Thair, Middle Eastern, Sri Lankan, Mexican and Parsi.
Paintings will also be display, giving a chance to parents and children to indulge too. A full diversity of the food of Pakistan will be celebrated.

Aslam Khan and Omar Omari of CKO Event Architecture, while addressing media during a press conference said, “This is the year of the ‘Big Eat’. We have raised the bar in terms of venue size, number of participants, surprise performances from Pakistan’s leading pop singers and much more. We remain focused on our objectives behind the festival, which is to provide great family entertainment, reactivation of public spaces around our cities and to inspire a community spirit.”
The Karachi Eat seems like a perfect platform for all restaurants, dhabas, cafes, eateries, bakeries and street food vendors to get together and present to the people their respective food items with subsidised prices.
Some of the food items for which I’m the most excited for are the chapli kebabs, grilled sandwiches and wings.
