Seven die, 11 injured in road accident

DIR: At least seven members of two relative families were killed among them four women and two children were killed and 11 others were injured when a passengers’ vehicle fell into a deep ravine in Bin locality in Upper Dir district, hospital and police sources said.

Police said that the passenger vehicle loaded passengers was going to Bin dara from Brawal, adding that when the vehicle reached Jaba the driver lost control over vehicle and it fell down into a deep ravine. In a result seven people including four women, three children and one man was killed on the spot.

The deceased were indentified are included a wife and two sister of Yaqoob Khan and a daughter of Bacha Rehman, his sister-in-law and a grandson were killed on the spot while 11 others received serious injuries who were shifted to the tehsil headquarters hospital in Brawal.

Tehsil Naib Nazim of Brawal Hayat-ul- Haq and official sources said that the deceased’s and injured belonging to two relative families. The driver identified, Mohammad Din, a village council Noorkhel nazim was also among in the injured in the incident. However the Brawal hospital sources said that there had been brought seven injured people among them three women, two children and a man.

The sources also confirmed that seven people including four women, two children and one man were killed in the incident. Sources said that most of the injured people received serious injuries and they had been shifted to Peshawar in critical conditions.
