Burying ego

Author: Bushra Zafar Khan

Scared as a timid mouse
At last I mustered up my courage
Without a second thought,
Buried my ego

I went on, to talk to him
On my way, bought an apology letter
Heart thumping,
As rain thatching onto a roof
Clenched my fists, walked over
Appeared before him, surprisingly
Presented the letter, a wrapped gift

Buried my ego
Accepted my follies
Hugged, with a side kiss
He was more important.
