ISLAMABAD: Interpol has refused to issue red warrants against MQM founder Altaf Hussain on basis of case registered against him in Karachi.
According to media reports, Interpol has informed FIA that the case registered against Altaf Hussain falls under Article 3 of Interpol rules which is related to fomenting religious or political hatred and Interpol does not issue red warrants against anyone in such cases.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar while expressing displeasure over the reply of Interpol directed FIA and Sindh Home Department to prepare the answer on this count.
The interior minister also ordered initiation of investigation against the officer who had sent incomplete details through the letter.
