NAB references: Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Captain (r) Safdar appear before accountability court

LAHORE: Accountability Court on Tuesday resumed hearing the corruption references against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, daughter Maryam, and son-in-law MNA Capt (retd) Safdar.

Six witnesses will record their statements before the bench as three witnesses had already done so in the previous hearing on January 2.

In the previous hearing, prosecution witness Tasleem Khan had said that he went to NAB office on Commissioner Inland Revenue Fizza Batool’s directives and submitted wealth tax record of Nawaz Sharif and his sons while Jahangir Ahmed present income tax record.

The court adjourned the case till January 9 after all three witnesses recorded their statements.
