‘CPEC to enter new era of development in 2018’

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing paid called on Parliamentary Committee on CPEC Chairman Senator Mushahid Hussain at the Parliament House on Monday.

Senator Hussain expressed the hope that during Yao Jing’s tenure Pakistan China relations would be further consolidated and CPEC would make rapid progress. Ambassador Yao Jing expressed the hope that the CPEC would enter a ‘new era’ of all round development, and Afghanistan and Central Asia would be made part of the multi-billion dollar project.

Senator Mushahid Hussain said that CPEC was all about co-operation and connectivity, not just between Pakistan and China but also between countries of the region, including Afghanistan and Central Asia.

Senator Mushahid Hussain also invited Ambassador Yao Jing to meet the Parliamentary Committee on CPEC.
