CJP constitutes 5 SC benches for week commences today

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has constituted five benches of the Supreme Court at its Principal Seat Islamabad to hear hundreds of cases of various natures during the week commences today (Monday) to Friday. The Bench-1 comprises Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah. The Bench-II consists of Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Minakhel. Similarly, the Bench-III comprises Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Maqbool Baqar and Justice Ijazul Ahsan, while the Bench-IV comprises Justice Gulzar Ahmad and Justice Qazi Faez Isa. The Bench-V consists of Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood. According to Supreme Court’s weekly cause-list, no application for adjournment through fax or email will be placed before the court and if any counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the Advocate-on-Record (AOR) will be required to argue the case. Besides, no adjournment on any ground will be granted.
