Literature carnival continues

ISLAMABAD: Speakers on 2nd Day of Literature Carnival at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) paid rich tributes to a famous literary figure and editor subrang Digest Shakeel Adilzada for his contribution in the field of Urdu Adab. While eulogizing his personal literary input, they commended the role of Subrang digest in promoting fiction and creative writing. A panel discussion was arranged on the occasion to highlight the life and work of the Shakeel Adilzada. The discussion was participated among others by the Vice Chancellor. Dr Shahid Siddiqui, eminent journalist Rauf Klasra and the Chairman AIOU’s Department of Urdu Dr Abdul Aziz Sahir. The event was largely attended by students, faculty members, besides prominent literary figures and journalists including Prof. Fateha Muhammad Malik, Nasir Abbas Nayyar, Khurshid Ahmed Nadeem, and anchorperson Sohail Warraech. While participants demanded revival of subrang digest, Shakeel Adilzada announced that he would try its re-publication on quarterly basis.
