FC inspector general visits Torkham

KHYBER AGENCY: Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Major General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood who visited Torkham crossing point on Wednesday and he was briefed by commandant Khyber Rifles,Col Umar Farooq pertaining current situation of the Pak-Afghan border.

Flanked by sector commander, IGFC arrived through helicopter to the Military Garrison in LandiKotal tehsil.

Col Umar Farooq gave a detail briefing to the visiting officials about all sorts of movements and security measures being adopted on Torkham border.

Prior to it, all the linking roads and the Torkham border was suspended for all kinds of movement for approximately six hours that multiplied miseries of local tribesmen and the people to and entering Pakistan via the border.
