Policeman killed, another injured

QUETTA: A policeman was killed and another sustained bullet wounds when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them at Saryab Road, Quetta on Saturday. According to details, the policemen were on a routine patrol when they came under attack. A police official said that unidentified gunmen had opened fire at the law enforcement personnel and fled away. A rescue team arrived immediately at the spot and shifted the dead and injured to a nearby hospital.

Raddul Fasaad: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan foiled a major terrorist attack by seizing improvised explosive devices (IEDs) during a raid in Mastung. “Through an intelligence based operation in Mastung, FC seized a cache of arms, ammunition and explosives including sniper rifles, grenade and IEDs hidden in caves for a major terrorist activity,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday. On Thursday, FC arrested 15 suspects, including eight terrorists involved in attacks on police during raids in Zhob, Sibbi, Dera Murad Jamali Mach and Killi Ismail. Seventy kilogrammes of explosive, weapons and ammunition and communication equipment were also seized during the operation.
