ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force on Thursday seized 156.42Kg drugs worth Rs 213.95 million in 22 operations.
The drugs comprised of 136.16Kg hashish, 15.98Kg heroin, 4.25Kg amphetamine and 30gm opium. The ANF also arrested 32 people, including two women and seized nine vehicles. The Quetta ANF intercepted a van (WAE-263) on Mustang Road and seized 50Kg hashish and arrested two people Sanaul Haq and Samuel Masih. The Rawalpindi ANF arrested Sherdil Khan, a resident of Attock, and seized 1.5Kg Hashish from him. He was arrested near Hamzaq Petroleum, Kohat Road, Fateh Jhang, Attock. In another operation, the ANF arrested Khurshid Hussain, a resident of Peshawar, and seized 1.3Kg hashish from him.
The Lahore ANF intercepted a van at Thokar Niaz Baig and seized 48Kg hashish and arrested Aamir Khan, a resident of Orakzai Agency, Wajid Meer, a resident of Khyber Agency; and Muhammad Sajid, a resident of Gujranwala.
The ANF also intercepted a van and a motorcycle near Mian Channu Toll Plaza, GT Road, Khanewal and seized 6Kg hashish and arrested Ali Haider, a resident of Kohat; and Sajjad Aziz, a resident of Lodhran. In third operation, the ANF arrested a passenger Saifullah at Allama Iqbal International Airport and seized 460gm hashish from his shoes. The ANF arrested Sher Muhammad, a resident of Sargodha, and seized 3Kg hashish from him. In another operation, the ANF arrested two people Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Boota and seized 3Kg heroin from them.
In sixth operation, the ANF arrested Amina Bibi and seized 500gm heroin from her.
In seventh operation, the ANF arrested Ghulam Habib at Allama Iqbal International Airport and seized 2.2Kg amphetamine. In eight operation, the ANF intercepted a motorcycle on Dullewala Road, Tehsil Darya Khan, Bhakkar and seized 1Kg Hashish from the possession of Muhammad Akbar. The Peshawar ANF seized 1Kg heroin from Rizwana Riqaab while she was travelling in a passenger van.
In another operation, the ANF arrested Muhammad Qasim for carrying heroin filled capsules in his stomach. In third operation, the ANF Peshawar arrested Umer Said while he was boarding for Saudi Arabia and seized 2.050Kg amphetamine. In fourth operation, the ANF Peshawar arrested Sadaqat Hussain and recovered 30gm opium and 2Kg hashish.
In fifth operation, the ANF Peshawar intercepted an SUV (LG-640) on Murree Road, Abbottabad and seized 2Kg hashish from Muhammad Kashif, Wasim Khan and Mazhar Hussain.
