FIA recovers pirated stuff in huge quantity

KARACHI: An FIA team has raided a Shop of Nawab Market near Denso Hall MA Jinnah Road and also in Babar Market Landhi.

The FIA team has arrested 2 Shop Owners and recovered pirated Stuff in Huge Quantity on Thursday.

According to the details issued by FIA officials, on receiving of complaints from Javed Iqbal, Manager Operations of Roving Source Jail Road Lahore , regarding illegal sale, distribution and supply of capacitors having logo “FUJI” which is legally owned by M/s Khuwaja Electronic Limited an enquiry No.15/2017 was registered and assigned to Inspector Ali Hassan Zardari.

During the enquiry a raid along with FIA team with the complainant was conducted at M/s Shoukat Electric Store in Babar Market Landhi Karachi and recovered sufficient quantity (310 Capacitors) having logo of FUJI Company.

During initial enquiry Shoukat Ali owner of Shoukat Electric Store disclosed that he had purchased the above said counterfeited/replica capacitors from Kashif Bawani situated at Denso hall.

Hence another raid was conducted at Bawany Enterprises situated at shop No. M-43, Nawab State Market near Denso Hall, and 1200 Capacitors and 200 Capacitors of 4.5 wre recovered .

Case FIR No.12/2017 was registered under Sections 66, 66-A of Copyright Ordinance 1962 against Shoukat Ali owner of Shoukat Electric Store and Kashif Bawani owner of Bawany Enterprises and they were arrested in accordance.
