Gujranwala police highlight successes of 2107

Gujranwala: CIA police with limited sources is doing well to improve the imagine of police through its excellent performance, dozens of heinous crime cases have been solved by the CIA and hundreds of criminals have also been put behind bars in the last year. DSP CIA Imran Abbas Chadhar while showing the performance of the last year said that the CIA police have arrested a total of 42 dacoit gangs, held 100 proclaimed offenders, 13 criminals were arrested from out of the country through Interpol, police also traced out the 18 accused of murder cases, 7 murder and robbery cases, seven accused gunned down in four police encounters, seven bank dacoities traced out, two cases of ransom, 417 robbery cases while CIA police have recovered 33 illegal arms including 6 rifles, 64 pistols, 52 magazines, 13,500 bullets, 93 kg drugs, 31 stolen vehicles, 49 motorcycles and 150 million cash and other valuables.

Protest against fuel price hike: Dozens of workers of All Pakistan Muslim League staged a demonstration protest against new fuel prices. The protesters led by district coordinator Chaudhary Shoukat chanted slogans against government and demanded that the newly enhanced prices of petroleum items may be withdrawn immediately because it may cause enhancement in daily use items which will badly affect the poor man’s life.

Petty domestic dispute claims a life: Man gunned down wife over domestic issue here in Pasban Colony Gujranwala. It was stated that Aneela got married with Aftab one year ago and later they subsequently developed differences over domestic issues and Aneela was residing with her parents for the last few days. On MondayAftab went to his father in law’s house and demanded Aneela go with him and when Aneela refused he opened fire and Aneela died on the spot. Police have registered the case and also arrested the accused.
