KARACHI: Childhood friends and relatives of Zeeshan having sad looks on their faces carried his coffin for the burial in DHA graveyard on Friday in Azam Basti adjacent to Defense housing authority phase I Karachi after the funeral prayed at Alhilal mosque near his native house in Azam Basti.
Zeeshan was oldest son of Retired Government Teacher Akbar Ali who sent him to Australia for higher education upon Zeeshan’s own wish 18 Months ago.
It is pertinent to mention that 29 years Zeeshan Akbar was stabbed to death by two young Australian boys on April 6, 2017 in QuenBeyan Canberra, Australia when he was on duty at petrol station, his dead body reached Karachi International airport on Thursday evening from Australia via cargo, and all the arrangements were made by Pakistani Embassy in Australia.
” He had dreams for future in his eyes when he left Karachi for Australia and now after 18 years months he had completed his special education was ready to select a destination for him, he was about to receive Australian nationality with in few weeks and was very happy, his mother had recently arranged a bride for him. Just last month and Zeeshan had promised his mother he would settle down and marry”, Akbar Ali the Father of Deceased Zeeshan told daily times.
“I am very much Aggrieved right now and this is not unforgettable for me but at the same time I am thankful to officials of Australian embassy in Pakistan and Pakistani embassy in Australia, they supported me all out in this painful situation and have been in contact with me all the time, they have issued Australian visas to us in just two days with out much formalities and conveyed the condolence from Australian Prime minister to us where the Pakistani embassy in Australia paid all the expenses to bring the dead body in Pakistan” he concluded.
