MUSIC VIDEO: Main Wohi Aashiq

Author: Ally Adnan

It is not easy being the son of Agha Sikandar, the grandson of Inayat Hussain Bhatti, the nephew of Waseem Abbas and Saba Pervez, and the cousin of Meesha Shafi. Yet, the young, handsome and talented Aagha Ali makes it look very easy.

“I am proud of my illustrious family members,” he says in a matter-of-fact manner, “however, I do not let their stature intimidate me or affect my work. I have my own style of acting and singing. I stick to it. I do not feel the need to copy of imitate anyone. God has been kind. People like what I do. I have a huge fan following and people love my work as an actor and singer.”

Aagha Ali released a music video featuring his hit song, Main Wohi Aashiq, amidst tremendous media frenzy, on December 26, 2017. One of the nine songs in his album Rockstar, Main Wohi Aashiq is Aagha Ali’s favourite. “The song is deeply personal for me,” he says, “I feel that it celebrates my romance with Sarah Khan.”

Directed by Ahmer Sohail, and featuring Sarah Khan and Aagha Ali, the music video has been shot with the look and feel of a feature film. “I want my production company, Team Agha, to eventually make films,” says Aagha Ali proudly, “like a good commercial film, the music video has romance, drama, action, and a lot else. It is my and my team’s first step towards making films. Now that it has been released, we are already working on our second music video and we will soon move to making feature films. Insha’Allah.”
