Office-bearers of teachers’ union selected

KHYBER AGENCY: Sharifullah Afridi was elected president and Arshad Ali Afridi as general secretary of the Tanzeem-e-Asateza, Landi Kotal chapter, on Sunday. Earlier, a meeting chaired by Tanzeem Khyber Agency former president Wajid Afridi was held. It was attended by former president Zahid Khan, former vice president Farman Khan and former general secretary Miras Gul, along with a number of teachers. In the gathering, Sharifullah Afridi was unanimously elected as president, Arshad Ali Afridi the general secretary and Mujahid Shah the finance secretary of Tanzeem-e-Asateza, Landi Kotal. Matters relating to teachers’ welfare were also discussed.

Meanwhile, the NS Football Club defeated the Khyber Union Eleven to win the final match of the Annual College Football Tournament, played at the Degree College Ground, Landi Kotal on Sunday. The candidate for the up-coming election from NA-45, Shermath Khan Afridi, was the chief guest on the occasion. Before the start of the final game, players of the two finalist teams were introduced to the chief guest.
