Epiphany

Author: Eeshah Omer

I went to him

And talked and talked

And he served me

with his heart and soul,

I enjoyed his hospitality.

In a trance of love

I shook his hand

And said thank you

and left.

Now back at home

I think and regret

For all his love

So innocent, so sincere

So tender, so calm

So spontaneous it came

That it lightened my heart

And I could only say

Thank you?

I think and cry

So loud that my heart

Bursts and out comes

your love

And drowns my soul

Till there is no need

For me to say

Such words as

Thank you.
