ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has appointed Engineer Amir Muqam as PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) president and Murtaza Javed Abbasi as general secretary.
A meeting of PML-N KP senior leadership was held in PM House under PM Nawaz Sharif on Monday. This decision was taken by PM in consultation with senior leadership of PML-N KP.
Speaking on the occasion, the PM commended the services and ideological attachment of former general secretary Rehmat Salam Khattak and former party president Peer Sabir Shah with the party and hoped that newly appointed office bearers will make all out efforts to further strengthen the party in KP.
KP has always remained the stronghold of PML-N and the party will make outstanding achievement in coming general election in KP, PM held.
On the occasion, newly appointed leaders assured the PM and all party workers that they will play their due role in ensuring formation of PML-N government in KP.
