‘Teachers will be appointed on merit’

KHAIRPUR: Sindh Education Minister Jam Mahtab Ali Khan Dahar has announced that head masters and teachers would be appointed in all districts of the province on merit. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the new constructed buildings of Government Boys High School Mir Khan Rind and Government Primary School Ghulam Hussain Solangi, he said that the government has been keen to provide quality education. He said Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has imposed an education emergency in this regard. The education department was working to reopen thousands closed schools in province. Minister told new colleges and schools were being opened in Sindh. He said ghost teachers were creating a negative impact on education and now a biometric system has been introduced which would be monitored by education staff. He said now the attendance of teachers has been increased and warned that ghost teachers would be identified. Minister urged teachers to provide quality education with the interest for the future state. On the occasion officials of the education department and notables of area were present.
