Woman abducted, raped

RAWALPINDI: A woman was allegedly raped within the jurisdiction of Wah Saddar police. The woman told police that Kamran Khan and his accomplices had allegedly abducted her from her sister’s home. “They took me to a house where Kamran raped me,” she said. Police have registered a case and are investigating.

Women abducted: Five women were abducted from various areas of Rawalpindi on Monday. Latif lodged a complaint with the Pirwadhai Police that unidentified kidnapers had abducted his 14-year-old daughter and his nephew’s 16-year-old daughter from a nearby market. “I suspect that Raju and Jawad are behind the abductions,” he told police. Pirwadhai Police has registered a case. In the second incident, a man, Adeel, told Civil Lines police that unidentified kidnapers had kidnapped his wife. Police have registered a case and are investigating.

In the third incident, Zubaidah told Jatli Police that Rafaqat and his unidentified accomplices had abducted her daughter.

Another citizen, Ramzan, has lodged a complaint with the Sadar Baironi Police that unidentified kidnapers had abducted his daughter. Police have registered a case.

Man abducted: A man was abducted from I-8 Markaz on Monday. Dr Muhammad Fayyaz told the I-9 Police that some unidentified people had kidnapped his nephew Farasat Ali from I-8 Markaz. Police have registered a case and are investigating.

Inmate dies: An inmate of Adiala Central Prison died from cardiac arrest on Monday. Prisoner Azmat, 50, was serving a 25-year jail term in Adiala Prison in connection with a murder case. He was taken to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology after experiencing chest pains. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. His body was handed over to his relatives after the post-mortem examination.
