CHINIOT: The canal bank on Faisalabad Road near Dengro collapsed on Friday and the water started to break into the communities and villages located nearby.
According to details, a big crack had appeared in the canal bank at about 12 noon today and water had been blocked from Head Qadirabad half an hour later.
The Rescue 1122 and Irrigation staff are present on the scene and Irrigation department will start repairing the bank as soon as the water flow will decrease.
Areas affected include Chak 131 Lune, 128 Thatthian Colony, Dera Araaiyan and Lune Morr Stop. All the roads leading to the impacted village have been blocked.
