LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahir-ul-Qadri announced on Thursday that he has invited all political parties to participate in an all parties conference (APC) on December 28 in which he will announce his future plans after consultation with other parties.
Addressing a joint press conference with Awami Muslim League (AML) Chairman Sheikh Rasheed held in Lahore, Qadri said that the Model Town case was of utmost significance and that all the other cases would be opened on their time.
In response to Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz’s (PML-N) ‘Tehreek-e-Adl’ movement, Qadri launched ‘Tehreek-e-Qisas’ on Wednesday. During the announcement of his movement, he also said that if he would announce his future course of action if his demands were not fulfilled.
Earlier this week, Qadri also demanded the resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
The Model Town incident happened on June 17, 2014, outside Idara Minhajul Quran in Model Town. In a violent clash with police, 14 people died and 100 were injured.
