Multan: 11 killed as bus collides with trailer

LAHORE: 11 people were killed and 20 others injured as a speeding passenger bus collided with a parked long trailer on the motorway near Khanewal where heavy fog limited visibility.

As per reports, the incident happened due to dense fog on the motorway when the passenger bus was en route to Rajanpur from Lahore. Over 40 passengers were travelling on the bus.

After the collision, police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to Nishtar Hospital Multan for treatment.

A local motorway police official, Talat Mahmood, says the accident happened Thursday about 50 kilometres southeast of Multan.
