“Shooting the music video has been a truly exhilarating experience,” says Aagha Ali. “I wrote, composed and sang the song myself. When the time to make the video came, I was already engaged to Sarah Khan and had an epiphany. The video had to tell the story of our love. That is exactly the video we have made.”
Main Wohi Aashiq is the featured song of Aagha Ali’s album Rockstar that was launched under the Team Aagha label earlier this year. “The album has nine songs but Main Wohi Aashiq is particularly dear to me,” says Aagha Ali.
A romantic by nature, Aagha has put his heart and soul into developing, shooting and putting together the video. “I had the most hardworking people in the industry working on the video,” claims Aagha proudly. “I am lucky that they felt as passionately about doing a truly outstanding job as Sarah and I did. I have been a part of the show business world for quite a while now and have rarely seen a team this talented, diligent and dedicated. Hats off to them for doing what they have done for the song!”
Ali’s performance in the video has already earned him rave reviews from the cast and crew of the video. “Aagha Ali has proven his mettle as an actor yet another time in the video,” states director Ahmer Sohail. “You will see anger, love, emotion, obduracy, vulnerability and a lot else in his thunderous performance in Main Wohi Aashiq. It is truly one for the ages.”
Sarah Khan loves to share a story from the sets of Main Wohi Aashiq. “We were shooting an action sequence involving fire, and Aagha Ali’s face and eyelashes got burnt,” she recalls. “Everyone but our fearless hero became very worried. His only concern was the delay the accident would cause the project. He was miserable for the three days it took for him to re-grow his eyebrows. As soon as they did, we were all back on the sets.”
