LAHORE: Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman met on Tuesday to discuss FATA reforms.
According to sources, JUI-F chief expressed his reservations over FATA reforms and the PM and COAS assured him that they would resolve his concerns.
The meeting which went on for more than an hour was also attended by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Asif Ghafoor.
After the meeting, JUI-F chief said that the issue would be discussed with the civilian leadership but there was no need for further meetings with military leadership.
