VC Prof Dr Parveen Shah said research had great significance in socio-economic development of nation and with the efforts of my learned faculty members, new research projects had been availed from Higher Education Commission, Islamabad and other donor agencies worth Rs 13.948 million in the fields of Teacher Education, Zoology, Microbiology and Chemistry.
He said that with efforts of Dean Faculty of Arts and Languages, four new research journals had been published in the Faculty of Arts and Languages. The project titled ‘Strengthening of Academic Facilities (SAF)’ had been executed, which would be completed in the month of September 2018. This project is worth of Rs 655.9 million.
She said purpose of international linkages aimed at to promote academic, research and collaborative research.
The Syndicate approved to affiliate Government Elementary College of Education (Women), Khairpur in ADE (Two-Year Programme), Government Elementary College of Education (Men), Larkana for B.Ed (four year programme), Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Government College of Education, Larkana for B.Ed (Hons) and Government College of Education of Education, Sukkur for B.Ed (Hons).
The fresh affiliation of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Law College, Jacobabad, Kambar, Mashal Law College, Daharki, Faiz Muhammad Sahito Law College, Kandiaro for one year was also made.
The Department of Microbiology upgraded as Institute of Microbiology.
Dr Javed Ahmed Mahar, Dr Riaz Ahmed Shaikh, Dr Rozina Chohan, Dr Farman Mangi, Dr Deedar Jamro, Dr Israr Ahmed, Dr Muneer Ahmed Shah, Saifullah Shaikh, Dr Gul Afshan, Dr Sham Lal, Dr Fozia Sial, Muhammad Hassan Shaikh, Ms Uzma Shah, Zain-ul-Aabideen Arejo were promoted/appointed in next grade as Professor BPS-21, Associate Professor (BPS-20) and Assistant Professor (BPS-19).
Dr Fakhar-un-Nisa Memon, Dr Parvez Ali Mahesar, Dr Aziz Ahmed Ujjan, Dr Jawad Ahmed Khan, Dr Nazar Hussain Kalwar, Dr Muhammad Naeem, Dr Zaib-un-Nisa Memon were appointed on TTS.
Sadaquat Ali, Ubedullah Alias Kashif, Muhammad Kashif, Muhammad Imran Mushtaque, Saddam Hussain Tevino, Badaruddin Chachar, Sajid Ali Ghanghro, Muhammad Haneef Tunio, Yameen Magsi, Ms Mahpara Tunio, Faiz Ahmed Bhutto, Ms Nadia Sehar, Abuzar Bhanbhro, Muqadar Ali Samo, Jai Kishan, Muhammad Asif Channa and Muhammad Farooque Shah Rashdi were appointed as Lecturers in BPS-18 in Departments of Computer Science, Business Administration and Sociology respectively for Shikarpur, Ghotki and Shahdadkot Campuses.
The Syndicate approved to establish Muqadas Welfare Trust and Capt (retd) Usman Ali Essani was nominated as member of the Trust. It is recalled that cited Trust will help the poor students and employees in medical treatment.
