China condemns Quetta church attack, expresses condolences

LAHORE: China has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a church in Quetta, saying “China opposes terrorism in all its forms.”

The deadly attack on a church in Quetta on Sunday claimed the lives of nine people and left up to 56 wounded.

During a press conference, China Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Hua Chunying’s offered condolences to the victims of the attack.

“China strongly condemns the attack,” said Hua Chunying.

“China opposes terrorism in all its forms and will continue to firmly support Pakistan’s efforts to combat terrorism and safeguard national stability and people’s lives and property,” the spokesperson said.

Islamic State (IS) had claimed the responsibility of the attack.
