KARACHI: After making headlines for his inimitable hosting at Lux Style Awards last year, rockstar Ali Zafar is set to present another tour de force performance, this time in a completely different, action fuelled avatar, at the 16th edition of the prestigious ceremony.
The multi-talented superstar is in preparations for a rendition of a self-composed act designed exclusively for the LSAs for which he has written and composed an original score.
However, who will be sharing the stage with Ali Zafar remains a mystery. The details of his co-performer are still under wraps but rumour has it that it is going to be one of the leading ladies of the entertainment industry.
On the acting front, Ali Zafar is gearing up for his lead role as Teefa in Ahsan Rahim’s romantic action comedy, ‘Teefa in Trouble’.
The LSAs are the largest award ceremony held annually in Pakistan since 2002. The awards celebrate “style” in the Pakistani entertainment industry. Around 30 awards are given annually. The ceremony is the oldest and the most prominent film event dedicated to Pakistani television, fashion and film industry in Pakistan. The awards are voted on by both the public and a committee of experts.
As one of the nation’s premier award show events, the LSAs have been dubbed “Pakistan’s Oscars” and described as “the awards ceremony in Pakistan”.
