In addition to senior Awami National Party (ANP) leader and renowned lawyer, Latif Afridi as chief guest, ANP central finance sectary Arbab Tahir Khan, scholar Dr Sohail, chief editor Bacha Khan Pakhtun magazine Hayat Rohani local ANP leaders and large number of students and tribesmen participated in the gathering.
Addressing the occasion Latif Afridi said that the main cause of downfall of the Pakhthun community was lack of education in science and technology and the Pakhthun youth should utilize their energies to seek knowledge if they wanted a respectful position in the world.
“Time has come that the Pakhthuns follow philosophy of non-violence of Bahca Khan to halt further destruction on their land”, Afridi remarked.
He stressed upon the tribal to encourage female education in the society that comprised half population of the country and could play vital role in the development of the country and asked them to roll up their sleeves to promote girls education.
The ANP leaders announced fifteen laptops prizes for the winners of the next Bacha Khan Talent Award to be scheduled in the near future in Landi Kotal. At the end, the chief guest distributed ten laptops to the winners.
