Norwegian Pakistani nationals call for action against personnel involved in violence at BBIA

OSLO: The Pakistani Community in Norway asked the government of Pakistan to take strong action against FIA employess involved in violence against Norwegian Pakistani women at the Islamabad airport.

It have been learnt through media reports specially videos circulated in social media that FIA’s employees particularly a lady constable committed severe assaults on two Norwegian Pakistan women at airport.

The videos showed that a FIA’s lady constable is beating the two women by holding their hair and pushing them, while other staff including FIA’s employees at the airport watched as bystanders of cries of the victims. Norwegian main stream print and electronic media also highlighted the issue of torture of the ladies.

The Norwegian Pakistanis as well as Pakistanis based in other European countries expressed grave concerns over physical torturer of the women by employees of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at Islamabad Airport, said a press release issued on Thursday.

An organization representing the Norwegian Pakistani Community handed over a letter to Pakistan Embassy in Oslo, the Norwegian capital.
