LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to issue red warrants against former finance minister Ishaq Dar. The court will reach out to the Interpol for assistance in minister’s arrest.
The decision was taken on Thursday during a meeting of the NAB’s Executive Board presided by NAB Chairman retired Justice Javed Iqbal.
Justice Javed asserted that Ishaq Dar is not suffering from any ailment that cannot be treated in Pakistan. “Dar has been declared as a proclaimed absconder by the accountability court,” he added.
Dar has been nominated as an accused in a corruption reference which alleges that “Dar possesses wealth and assets beyond his known sources of income”, read a declaration issued by the accountability bureau.
