Traffic hazards

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Lahore has expanded without any planning during the last few years which naturally brought about many problems for the people of this mega city. The traffic hazards have also increased greatly.

The traffic problem is further increased due to damaged roads and poor infrastructure. One of the most irritating problems is reckless driving of Ching Chee rickshaws by minors. These rickshaws stop anywhere without any stop to pick up passengers creating problems for the vehicles coming behind. Motor bike riders as well as rickshaw drivers often do not care for traffic signals which cause fatal accidents. The concerned authorities should take strict action against these law breakers for maintaining smooth flow of traffic.
