ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to file a reference against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman under Article 209 of the Constitution, said PTI spokesman Fawad Choudhary in a press conference here on Friday

He alleged that the NAB chief was involved in hiding the alleged corruption of Sharifs. He said that the prime minister had lost moral authority to stay in the office while being investigated. “The prime minister and his children will appear before the joint investigation team (JIT) as accused criminals,” he said, adding: “There is no difference between Uzair Baloch and Nawaz Sharif.”

Meanwhile, PTI Deputy Secretary General Murad has said that the prime minister is a “certified bandit” now. He added that the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case would be reopened, which would uncloak the true face of the Sharif family.

While expressing his views, PTI senior leader Shibli Faraz accused the prime minister of riding roughshod over state institutions. He said that the PTI had decided to highlight the issue in both houses of the parliament. He alleged that the Sharif family had bargained nation’s integrity and esteem over personal preferences and gains. Moreover, the PTI has also announced to launch a public campaign across the country.

According to a statement, the party will hold public rallies in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Nowshehra, Dadu, Sargodha and Attock.
