LAHORE: Palestinian Ambassador His Excellency Walid A.M. Abu Ali met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday to discuss United States’ (US) decision of recognising Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting at General Headquarters (GHQ), COAS assured the Ambassador that the Palestine issue was as important to Pakistan as the Kashmir issue.

COAS said that the Palestinians had complete moral and political support of the Pakistani nation.

The Ambassador thanked COAS for his support.

Last week US President Donald Trump announced that US was moving its embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.

Trump’s decision was met with criticism from world leaders and protests also erupted in various parts of the world.
